- Type in any characters that you are looking for in the title. These characters will be searched in the complete title, they do not have to at the start or end of a word.
- As you will type, the active note list will shorten to only the notes matching your search.
- Tap the ‘Search’ button on the keyboard to confirm the list.
- To clear the searched list and return to the previous list, tap on the search bar and then tap on the ‘Cancel’ button next to it.
Filtering
Filtering is the real strength of using tag-based organization. You can specify selection criteria based on a combination of tags.
On the main screen press the ‘Filter’ icon on the bottom left corner; the ‘Select Filters’ screen will show up.
- On the top you will see three options: ‘All’, ‘Filtered’, ‘Untagged’. - ‘All’ will show all your notes.
- ‘Filtered’ will show only the notes that satisfy a given combination of tags.If none of the tags in the list are selected, this option will be disabled.
- ‘Untagged’ will show all the notes which don’t have any tags associated to them.
- In the ‘Filtered’ mode, you can select any number of tags from the list and a combination type from the bottom toolbar. The following combination types are available: - ‘All’ – Show the notes which have all of the selected tags associated with them.
- ‘Any’ – Show the notes which have any of the selected tags associated with them.
- ‘Exact’ – Show the notes which have the exact combination of tags, as currently selected, associated with them.
- Note that a filter ovverrides your last search. So, if there was already a text search applied, the text search results will be reset.
